Cultivate the land and give life to the people
Welcome to the Nikau Superette Neighbour Hood Garden. Come join the 4-week journey of this micro-garden from seedling to plant. Daily tending includes watering, weeding, feeding, grieving.
Current rotation: wong bok; fancy lettuce; silver beet; peas; nasturtium; marigold.
Bio: Alice Canton (White_mess) is a multidisciplinary artist and producer based in Tamaki Makaurau. Her work explores identity, culture and community through live theatre, installation and performance. Notable works include ORANGUTAN, WHITE/OTHER, BREAK BREAD (Silo Theatre), and the live documentary theatre project, OTHER [chinese].
Alice is a graduate of University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts (Sculpture) and Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School (Acting). Her current favorite local hot spot is the West Auckland Community Toy Library.
